In February, hearts are everywhere!
Let us take a moment to consider our own hearts. Science is discovering what the mystics have taught throughout the ages: The heart is a center of love and compassion and intelligence. It is not simply a pump.
The human heart forms first as a tube in the embryo. Several times it folds over on itself to create a spiral form. The heart’s spiral form contributes to creating coherence of water molecules so that the blood can move itself through the vessels. For a more in-depth explanation of this phenomenon, have a look at the book, Human Heart, Cosmic Heart: A Doctor’s Quest to Understand, Treat, and Prevent Cardiovascular Disease
By Dr.Thomas Cowan.
According to neurocardiologists, 60 to 65 percent of heart cells are neuron cells, not muscle cells. The heart is a major nerve center. The electromagnetic field of the heart is the largest of the body and can be measured several feet away from the body. Researcher has shown that this field becomes more coherent when we are experiencing feelings of gratitude, love, compassion and peace. In states of anger, fear or sadness, the field looses its coherency. The rhythm of the heart and coherency of the heart field communicate to every cell of the body. The heart plays a role in maintaining health throughout the whole human system. A daily exercise for creating health in the body and peace of mind is simply to bring your awareness to your heart. Feel its beat. Take a moment to allow the breath to slow down a bit. Imagine you are breathing in and out through the heart. Bring to mind a feeling of gratitude, appreciation or love. Keep this up for 3 to 5 minutes. Your body and mind will come into a state of harmony.
Happy love month!
